I love the looks of the S8 and it seems to be an excellent smartphone but that pricetag is just too high if you ask me. Most users will propably use it for about two years and then get the successor. At least that's how I use my smartphones. If money is not really an issue, then the S8 is without a doubt the best smartphone you can buy right now.

Except for the display size, the phones are essentially the same. Definitely not upgrading from a year old S7edge to the S8, or S8+, no matter how gorgeous it looks. And even if I had an S6 and wanted to upgrade, I'd still go with the S7, get a fantastic phone and save $300.
Waiting to see that Note8 and even more so...the Pixel 2!!

Why does everyone keep complaining about the S8 finger print sensor? I have Absolutely no problem with the placement, but I also don't have kid hands.

I love my S7. I don't plan on upgrading unless I have to.

The positioning of the fingerprint-scanner is not weird or bad. I have tried it, and it is perfectly fine. It is insanely easy to use with one hand, also on the S8+ ... try it for yourself! Can really not understand the complaining. Guess that is the only 'thing' you can point out that is bad with the phone, but it not a bad thing; lol.

I found a deal thag made the s8 cost the same as the s7, so it was a no brainier for me to pile the newer model

Personally I hate the edge feature and would upgrade to the S8 if it did not have the edge style built in.

Thank you for your review. I am about to buy the S7, as at £350, it is so much better value than the S8 at £560. They appear to be basically the same phone, but the S8 looks slicker and has a few extra, not entirely needed, features.

They are both great phones but I'm all for the s8 because I have it. and haven't had no problems with it at all since I had it as far as people complaining about the S8 not having a physical home button well physical buttons are becoming extinct on these newer phones that are coming out so be prepared for it because pretty soon there will be no physical buttons!!!!
