That would be a cool bike to work on if you already have a nice cr500 or kx500 sitting in the garage already

Check the compression if the ration comes out to 12:1 I’d stick to 110 octane
And def try and find a kx or cr those are the most reliable ones

Buy it my grandfather raced one back in the day and it was faster than the cr500 and kx500

Its def the ping king but for that price id do it

Go for it if you have $2-5k to spend on rebuilding. And it’s optimal but not necessary to use race fuel. If not higher octane and lower ethanol petrol with 2 stroke engine mix should be fine.

Get a kx stay away from the air cooled bikes all of them.
