I went to an event a couple of years ago and Andy Green and Richard Noble were guests there. They were lovely blokes, and talked about land speed records as though it was just another day in the office. They also made me believe that it could be decades before there's another landspeed record set. Big corporates apparently don't want to plaster their name all over crazy jet engines, and want to sponsor green initiatives instead. Even RedBull might be a bit nervous of committing tens of millions over a multi year project. According to them, covid basically killed the final bloodhound tests, and the project just hadn't got that same momentum back. Also there was Ron Ayers, their chief aerodynamicist. What an awesome bloke he was too.

Fun fact: my great great grandfather worked a small amount on the very first bluebird car. It was originally intended to be painted Red, but they didn't have enough paint available and so used blue instead and the legend was born

At Johnson Valley, there is a massive salt flat that you can see on the map. Head there, get a ramp from the props menu, jump over the fence, and you've got yourself a salt flat all to yourself!

Nick, i got a super fast vehicle in the base game, take the gavril md series, the first config, remove everything but the frame, put on the short rear frame and at upfit add an jato rocket, it hit 1800 mph for me

I think the mercedes t80 wouldve been interesting for this. It had massive wings on the sides and 6 wheels, with an aircraft engine driving the rear 4 wheels
