Etsy VS Shopify | Where to Launch Your Shop in 2023

After using both Etsy and Shopify to launch my shop this year, I've gotten to experience the pros and cons of both. Hopefully my experience will help you decide where you want to launch your shop!

Although technically it may be free (as you say in video) to open a shop on Etsy (such as top banner and profile and free account), there is a small cost $0.20 for every product listed. You don't have a store without product, so technically there are no startup costs "except for product listings". Perhaps we can say instead, there is low cost, not "no cost" to start a shop. But we know what you mean. Love your videos.

Thank you so much for this detailed information. I am brand new to all of this, and like you, I have sat through, grinded through, tons... of videos. Ugggh, but it's been a huge learning experience. Is it true that Etsy can shut you down for no apparent reason? That's scary. That means that your store is not really your store. For instance, when I owned a restaurant, the leasing agent could one day come in and kick us out. Correct? That's as scary as walking into a job and the boss suddenly firing you for no apparent reason. That's what we're all trying to avoid.
