Cheap Medieval Weapons vs. Modern Armor - Skall Reacts to @KentuckyBallistics

Barely half a day after these medieval arms vs. kevlar armor shenanigans appeared on the Kentucky Ballistics channel people were already bombarding me with requests to make a response video. So here you go, literally as quickly as I was able to. :)

Tests like that are always a blast, and this is no exception. Some of those "reproductions" though... yikes. That mace in particular... I've never seen a flanged mace so weirdly cobbled together. The spikey military flail was interesting though.

Anyway, watch Scott's video, it's fun:

This was a lot of fun to watch! I am very ashamed of my weapons now lol! Also my hand has been sore and I couldn’t figure out why…well now I know lol!

Oh this is a meet up we need! Scott giving Skal the chance to shoot everything and Skal bringing real blades for ballistics testing!! Please!!!!

Biggest takeaway: If you're stuck with low-quality wall hanger weapons, go blunt. A crappy mild steel sword won't cut very well, but a crappy mild steel club will still club quite effectively.

Scott from Kentucky Ballistics is a good guy. You could always invite him onto your channel and show him some more accurate (and well made) versions of medieval weaponry and demonstrate how effective they can be when properly employed.

I'm pretty sure all of the damage was down to Scott being a damn ogre. That guy is insanely strong.

Scott is proof that a high enough STR makes up for a lack of DEX.

Anyone taking Scott’s video seriously needs to watch more of his stuff. He’s a big goofball who loves hamming it up and just having fun.

I love Scotts "0% technique, 100% strength" approach though.

"What do you mean i need dex to use this melee weapon?"

Imagine being on a battlefield and your enemy shows up with a sword that long and then you watch as the thing practically wraps around your body with how wobbly it is

Scott has all the Strength and Charisma, he doesn't need Dexterity! Lmao

That "flanged" mace and the Wobbly Slapper sword definitively win a Honorary Mall Ninja award :D

Kentucky ran out of guns.
Skall ran out of swords.
The matchup we need.

I watched Scott's video and I kept thinking, "he really needs to have Skallagrim come show him how to do that the right way." So, maybe your should reach out. Scott's a hoot and a half, and I'm sure he'd enjoy having you on his channel.

A proper reaction video. No dissing on the creator. No mean critique. Just lighthearted fun on a Sunday.

Scott is a mountain of a man. He somehow cuts through with a sword that's duller than a butter knife. I was completely surprised and shocked when he somehow actually got the cut on the Kevlar.

It's funny to see how his technique isn't even that bad on some strikes, but the weapons are so crap that it doesn't matter. Goes to show, quality equipment goes a long way

I'm just surprised that the wall hangers were this effective against actual body armor. It's legitimately impressive.

And that’s what she said.
