When there are TEN YEAR OLDS getting pregnant in this country, WE DAMN WELL NEED TO BE TEACHING OUR DAUGHTERS ABOUT CONCENT! IF THEY KNOW THAT BOYS SHOULD NOT DO SUCH THINGS TO THEM, THEN THEY WILL KNOW TO TELL AN ADULT THEY TRUST!!!! This topic strikes home with me so much because when I was ELEVEN YEARS OLD living in IOWA, a SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD boy assaulted me. Because my parents believed you NEVER TALKED ABOUT SEX with children, I had no idea what he was doing or that HE should have known it was VERY WRONG. I STILL carry the emotional SCARS to this day from that happening to me.

Being against teaching kids about consent is a true sign of a predator. Kids don’t know on their own that adults should not be touching them, they’re too young to even know it’s wrong while it’s happening, and people like this make sure that children’s innocence continues to be taken advantage of. They care about the children until it’s inconvenient to their cause.
