I like the newly unveiled 2024 Mustang but the S197 Mustang has a retro charm that doesn't age. Whenever I see a good condition 2005 Mustang GT in a parking lot I am still awe struck by how good they look even in 2022. They just look like a real 60's Mustang should in modern day sheet metal. I hope Ford goes back to this shape one day with very minimal changes.

I have a 2008 GT with 225k miles. It's my first, and as yet only car. I love driving it every day. I hope to give it to my daughter one day when she is old enough.

05-09 Mustang was a great tribute to the 67-68 models. It’s styling cemented it’s place as one of the best looking generations even if the 4.6 3v has a defined cap on power. I have an 08 GT/CS convertible. And a 93, 69, and 78. The 08 is my favorite.

The best part of these s197 is they are old school. I have 2008 procharged mustang.. with tons of performance mods from suspension work etc.. it doesn’t have all the new tech which is what I like its like driving an old school muscle car.. nothing like it. I will never get rid of it. Just gonna buy a newer one to add to my collection..

Saw this car for the first time in 2005 as a 5 year old kid and wanted one ever since, 17 years later finally bought one. Definitely my Favorite car of all time and nothing else comes close. Awesome video, I love still learning new things about this model

Proud owner of a 2007 Mustang GT Premium. I bought mine 5 years ago with 53k original miles bone stock. Today she's got 82k miles, and running strong. I love my 07 GT. Im planning on getting either a 13-14 5.0, or 15-17 5.0 as my daily, and only drive my 3V on my days off, or weekends. Yup, don't care for coyotes really, I'll still baby my 2007 S197, and planning to keep her until I'm gone.

Proud to own 4 of these cars right now and hope to get a GT500 too. I inherited my dads 06 GT when he passed later in 06. I am the original and third owner on an 09 GT (by complete luck it came back into my life). I also have an 08 GT coupe and 08 GT/CS convertible. I fell in love with the spy photos during their development and the first one I saw in person at the 40th anniversary in Nashville sealed the deal. They are the 57 Chevy of their time and I’ll never be without one.

Great summary of the 2005-2009 Mustangs. I have a 2006 GT Premium that I purchased in 2013. When I bought the car in 2013 it had 147 K highway miles. Today it has 189 K miles. I have replaced parts that wore out or failed. I am very proactive in maintaining and repairing my Mustang. I replaced the peeling vinyl door inserts with padded suede inserts. I replaced my Shaker 500 radio with a Sony with XM Satellite radio. I have 18" 2010 Mustang GT Wheels which makes the car look newer. I recently had my suspension rebuilt including all bushings, shocks, struts and front control arms. The engine has been tuned with new spark plugs and wires, the coil packs replaced with MSD coil packs and all of the fluids flushed and replaced with BG services. I plan on keeping this car for many more years.

I like every mustang year from 1964.5 to 2024, i think the 05-09 will just keep getting better with time style wise. It's a timeless retro design or something..lol

I was 10 years old when this mustang came out! Always loved this car and staring at it everytime i see it anywhere. Now I am 30 and a week ago I was lucky enough to own my first ever ford mustang s197 V8 5 speed manual, black, crimson red interior and all the features. I love this car so much its a dream!!!

I have a 2005 mustang GT with 255, 500 miles on it I drive it every day the mods that the car has right now are American raceing longtubes headers catless H-pipe going to some mid-mounted flowmaster fx's mufflers with 3:73 gears and a Roush Cold Air intake imo these cars are awesome they sound really good with about any exhaust setup u put on it they have that muscle car look overall there great cars!

I gotta agree with everyone on the 05-09 Mustang in the looks department, 3 years ago I was lucky to snag a 2005 GT that a friend bought new and only put 27k miles on it, the rest of the time he parked it in the garage. The Shaker 1000 system has got to be the best sounding factory system I've ever heard, before and even at the time i grabbed this car I was a Camaro guy and still am. It's pretty cool having them both, they're very similar in many ways, what's there not to like?
