Hi thank you for this video. I am 12 years old and Covid-19 has made the babysitting courses in my town to close down. I needed to know how to do CPR for worst case scenario.

Good to see so many youngsters commenting on here that they want to learn this to be prepared! Sad though that schools apparently dont teach these simple lifesaving measures in school!

I’m only here because I’m 12 and I live with a 3 and 4 year old girls, they always put small objects in their mouth and I tell them to take out because they just hard headed. If I don’t see them putting it in their mouth and they end up choking, I will know how to do CPR. Thank you!!

This video was very well made, i'm only 10 years old and i'm looking forward to do volunteering when i grow up, however even before that i should know some stuff, so today i basically kind of looked up and tried the Heimlich Maneuvre (or whatever u call it) and CPR. Thank you!

A few errors:

1) Pulse needs to be checked. CPR should only be only done if there is no breathing AND no pulse. If there is a pulse but no breathing, then you have to do what is called "rescue breaths".
2) Arms need to be straight.
3) Nose is pinched during the breaths, but has to be unpinched between each breath. You want to make sure that the victim can fully take in air.

Honestly it's kind of irresponsible that a hospital channel has this kind of video up that doesn't take the proper steps....any CPR may be better than no CPR and one could still be protected under the Good Samaritan Act, but its extremely important to stay properly informed to save a life.

I was in a pediatric first aid course today in UK. Was told to give 5 breaths and not 2 for a child as their lungs have much higher capacity than an adult. Also was told to use one hand and not 2 like you'd use for an adult.
