The production quality made my jaw drop, (partly because this is such a great enthusiast product) but when I saw your subscriber count, I knew this is a YT channel that I can say “Yeah I was there before 100k.”

You’ve made the GBA the most modern retro console

I like the headphone socket mod but the BT one seems to have more cons than pros as the functionality is impaired by not being able to adjust the volume and also by the signal being blocked, but perhaps the bigger con is the PLA battery cover as you pay a premium for the aluminium shell but then detract from its aesthetics by replacing the battery cover.

Forget about Bluetooth, now go with the wireless charging, since you already have that plastic battery cover !

I think by now this device is WAAAY superior to a regular GBA besides the ergonomics of the original! I still like the original shape over the clamshells cramped button placing though. THE MUSIC IS SOOO AMAZING THO!

Bro, just look at those edits and b-rolls, I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that you only have 118k subs, like dayum.

I do feel that the change for Bluetooth, while inspired, is a pretty big change from the original idea you had mentioned for this system: wireless charging.

I do very much appreciate the in depth mod though!

Still planning on the audio jack mod, as my Shure headset is my personal go to for music and good sound. (Fun Fact: They made the first wireless microphones in the era of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.)

Another wonderful video Tito. I would stick with the Boxypixel cover, remove Bluetooth and wait for the wireless charging mod that that space was designed for. All the respect in the world to you for being so creative and try the Bluetooth. If you don't try then you will never know.

Can't believe I found this gem of a channel! Great work! In terms of the mod itself, I think I'm gonna pass this. You make the soldering look so easy haha. I literally messed two GBA SP PCB's up, trying to solder retrosix's amplifier. The capacitors got me hard. Hard lesson learned for me lol

For the bluetooth, just run an antenna wire from the PCB to a higher spot on the battery cover which won't be covered by your hands. Guaranteed better signal

This is extremely amazing. I hope, someday, something like this for the DS happens.

Awesome video and great timing! I just ordered my kit and was planning on adding a headphone jack and Bluetooth as well. I would love for you to make a video on adding a rechargeable battery and usb-c charging to a GameBoy pocket and color next!

What Cable Gauge did you use for the Headphone-Jack? They seem very small for 28AWG mentioned in the Description. And what gauge are the Cables from the USB-C Port?

I plan on stocking up on parts & cables for future mods^^

Yea I'm gonna have to do this now... Got a slightly newer BTM though, with BT 5.1

Excellent modding skills though dude, very impressed with your soldering.
