Tutorial: How to put rubber bands on your braces

Having trouble getting your rubber bands attached to your braces? Hopefully this video helps! As always, listen to your orthodontist regarding where exactly to place your rubber bands and take pictures if necessary when they show you where to put them.

Spent almost 30 minutes failing to put them on from my upper molar to my bottom canine, SUPER frustrating. He said you gotta have the band like you’re gonna shoot it and that helped me do it in a couple minutes! Super clutch man, thanks for the vid.

thanks! I couldn't remember if my orthodontist told me to put the bands on the very back bottom teeth to my top canines or just the very back hooked ones that came after it. makes sense now!

I got a bite plate braces and now elastics there's so much in my mouth it's really painful and on top of that I have this frustrating rubber bands but your video helped me a lot I was confused and if it was supposed to hang off the hook of the bite plate or the actual braces themselves it's still supposed to hang off the braces thank you so much

hii is it possible to not have hooks at all while putting rubber bands, cause i forgot which teeth to put them on and i think its this teeth but it has no hook so does that mean its def not that teeth

Just got my bands today and when I put them back on after I was drinking I couldn’t see the hook in the back

I started using rubber bands today and for one side of my mouth it’s difficult to hook the band from the bottom because it’s close to the gums, even the lady had some trouble putting them on😅

Just remember this pattern, 2 on bottom (back teeth) then 4 on top (count your brace and when you reach 4 you got it right. REMEMBER TO COUNT SPACES/BRACES

Know that I'm not wearing these types of elastics, but hope it helps how I put on my elastics :)

I accidentally broke my color off on one of my brackets, so can that be why my rubber band isn’t really staying on?

Hi! So it's my first day of braces and I went to replace my elastics but accidentally broke one of the back ones that can hook it on because I still wasn't 100% sure how to do it. I'm going to schedule an appointment but in the mean time what can I do to still continue with my elastics while I wait? I have them on one side but I'm not sure what to do on the side with the broken back bracket
