Apache and Chinook Flying Low Over London

I took this video from the Skygardens at the Walkie Talkie building in London last year. It was amazing to be higher than the helicopters! Notice that the cargo door is open and someone is hanging outside the Chinook!

Epic video! That was a US Army Chinook visiting the Embassy I think with an Apache escorting. You were very lucky!

Nice one, mate. Those helicopters are always great to watch in the skies, specially over our amazing capital. I used to work in Greenford for many years, and we used to see large formations of Chinooks flying, with doors wide open, and sometimes seeing Military personnel through them, over our workplace, and we would drop everything, and look up in awe. A sight to behold. I think they were flying in and out of RAF Northolt, which is very close by.

I didn't realise how large the Apache is! At first I thought it was flying between the Chinook and the camera, but it was actually behind the Chinook! I looked it up and its fuselage is only two feet shorter than the Chinook.
