I bought both tried, both and the air is the winner for me, the power I dont need, the reliabiliy I need and the screen I found was too bright at max on the pro so I kept it halfway and the keyboard feels to cheap and clacky on the pro and marginally better single score, If you plan on ever using the pro on your lap, well too bad because the air is miles better for that, the air is alittle warm while the pro gets pretty warm almost hot on your lap tried both and battery matters and it drains on the pro faster from what Ive seen and thats because I use it on my lap and it heats up because of poor design, air shoots out of the back straight while the vent shoots down on the pro I for my needs went with the air which is so much nicer to type on

Why does no one mentions the 2017 keyboard issues? They still have the same weakness to dust. I spoke to an apple employee and they said they have a minimum of five 2017 macbook pros coming in there with the same keyboard problem

MacBook Pro 13” > MacBook Air 2018 don’t waste your money on the air.

The Pro was cheaper than the Air at Best Buy, I went with the Pro.

Awesome video.. can I add- PLEASE CONSIDER BUYING A REFURB From APPLE ITSELF! They are thoroughly tested, packed like brand new, and still have the same one year warranty and you can still buy Apple care. SAVES $200-$500 depending on the model you pick. I have bought ONLY refurbs from APPLE and I have had not a single issue.
MacBook Pro 15 2018 -no issues
MacBook 2015 -no issues
iPad Pro 10.5 a10x chip -no issues

They're not budget. Apple doesn't sell a budget laptop any more. They just killed that model. The new Air is a budget spec with a premium price.

Took the Pro 13 2018 back to Apple after a week. How can a Pro device be that uncomfortable to type on? Know I'm spoiled with 2015 pro 15 but still! I'd buy the 15 inch or get Air anyday (hell I've got the 12 inch MacBook and type on that fine!) Basically the 13 inch pro was a wrist slitter!
