There are plenty of people who identify as independent and dont like either party but because everything around them is republican they just vote republican. Amen man, amen. Grew up on the edge of suburban/rural. The drop off was pretty severe aside from my school district, Franklin Regional, borders Allegheny County, (Pittsburgh Area), and was/is affluent and Republican. Wake up call, Westmoreland County Pa was a purple place recently and over a decade ago was somehow a Democratic stronghold for half a century. Gerrymandering is bad, however if you don't get out there, or go further and say its not worth the resources, then come on over to the private sector pal because your future working for a shrinking party may as well be a sinking ship folks.
