Big missed opportunity for a game with dragon shouts and learning words to not at least have a branch of speech for the shouts. Even just lowering cooldowns or like in the ordinator perks mod making shouts restore hp mp and stamina

It's easier and fast from start of game if you just travel from town to town buying alchemy ingredients, make potions, sell and continue, put your levels in better potions and speech, before you know it you max out potions and speech, have a ton of money, best potions. Not that his method is bad, but to get all the stuff and do all things he does, requires you to be decently far in the game and still travel and working. I use a mixture of his techniques and mine, makes for a fun "gentlemanly merchant" life, traveling from town to town, crafting, smithing, selling, I like to wear fancy clothing just to look the part.

There's a neat loop I figured out a while back where if you train pickpocket and speech at the same time, you can talk to the trainer and pay for one level, pickpocket the gold, and go back and forth to effectively raise quite high just off the loop as both skills going up tends to keep leveling you, allowing you to train further

If you guys are okay with cheating you can do the resto pot glitch.

you'll need:
around 7 Abecean longfin OR Cryodilic Spadetail (you dont need both, use whatever)
around 7 salt piles

1. get armor with fortify alchemy on it, it doesn't matter how much but depending how low your percentage is, you might need more materials

2. make a restoration pot

3. take the restoration pot and take off your armor and put it back on (make sure to use the potion)

4. repeat steps (2) and (3) a few times

5. sell potion to npc

edit: also you might need benefactor, i don't know everyone says you do so just use the glitch for duping there's glitches for that

Apparently there’s a fast way to increase speech, where you sell the vendor their own inventory? I’ve never done it but I saw a guide on it that was made last year so it’s still possible!

For anyone not wanting to do the chest 'glitch' like me. A really fast way to level up speech; is do something bad within a city. Steal something, and then use "persuade" option when the guard catches you. They will walk away, but you're still 'wanted' and then just go to every guard you can find, they will say "Wait I know you", talk to them and use the persuade option on each of them. You can only do it once per guard. And just do this to every city. I'm not sure what level it becomes 100% success or if you can fail it, because I didnt discover this method until I was 85-90.

Also what mods do you have installed? I like the way your map looks.

One small tip is you dont have to earn any money back to get speech skill, ya can keep selling expensive items to em for free and still get the skill, it just depends how much the item ya sold that counts to the skill exp

Question: I've read elsewhere that selling one item at a time increases speech better. Like 1 sword, close, sell something else. Is that so?
