My f10 M5 gets 8 quarts of amsoil euro 5w40 classic with 1.5 quarts of signature series 5w50. I started out using Castrol syntec 0w40 and it ALWAYS needed to be topped off and I didnt like the engine sounded with this oil either. My 2 cents. Subscribed and watching. Keep up the good work!!!

You didn’t change out the tiny rubber gasket it’s located inside oil filter housing cup in the middle, inside the bag you have two rubber gasket the big one is for the outer, and the small one is for the inner, yea the washer never fits the drain plug.

You do know that the services have to be done by your BMW dealership?
I mean technically you can do it on your own if you don't give a shit about extended warranty, value and re-selling price... but the thing is only BMW can reset the due service and enter the service history, since everything is saved and controlled digital and electronical it transmissions between your car and the BMW servers. If the due service won't be proberly reset and entered into the service history (includes information about the date and at which milage the servive was done, which BMW dealership did the service and what the kind of service. If the service was done on time at the set month and/or milage it will be green, yellow for delayed and red for not in time.
Which results in lowering the selling price but also an incomplete service history will result in a bad reputation because it it unknown if the services were proberly done and if they were done at all.


Things you and everyone else should know when owning an BMW (any series) from the earlierst F-Generation to present.

On the other hand this M5 is so old already the previous owner probably didn't go to BMW himself so it most likley wouldn't matter because the history is fcked up already. Lol
