We really have to appreciate everything flight attendants do for the passengers. They are kind and will ake sure you are okay and comfortable, yet people are always rude to them. They do a LOT more than we think.

Planes do not “fall out of the sky” unless there is a collision. When there is complete engine failure, the plane will continue to fly. The pilot just has to descend at a pitch attitude and speed that will get them to safely land the aircraft. We practice this often during flight training. Anybody with a pilots license has had to land a plane with a power off landing.

The first time my cousin and I flew alone (we were like 10-12 yrs old) two flight attendants kept a close eye on us and made sure we were comfy and even brought us extra batteries when we were down to only one DiscMan and starting to argue. They were awesome. I wish I knew their names. I remember their faces.. They made our flight MUCH more barrable and everyone else's around us too. 😆

I was a flight attendant many years ago, and we were never told to look for all of that. Of course, we are talking the '70's where people were civil.

It truly does pay to be kind to the flight and gate crew. One year I had to fly on Valentine's Day. I quickly wished the gate crew a Happy Valentine's Day and hurried onto the plane. As I settled into my seat (in coach), I noticed one of the gate crew had boarded the flight and was pointing in my direction as she talked to a flight attendant. The flight attendant approached me and told me to follow her. Not thinking about it, I followed her towards the front. She pointed at an open seat and told me to sit down. I did. It was an open seat in first class.

23:56 - Well that's funny. Every crew I ever flew with as a flight attendant drank coffee and tea all the time. It would seem you have NO clue what the hell you're talking about.

I used to work ramp service for commercial airlines, and we rotated who was assigned to work the lavatory truck and water truck each day, among our other tasks. There is no way the pilot can cause a waste dump. There is a panel we unlatch, and it swings open like a door and attach the hose. That is also where we add the blue water for flushing the toilet. There is a similar panel to access the drinking water port.

Again, there is no way for a pilot to physically dump passenger waste... but they are able to dump fuel.

As mentioned, "Code ADAM" is used to notify that a child has gone missing. Many department stores also use this code. It came about after the abduction and murder of Adam Walsh. Adam Walsh was also the son of John Walsh, American television personality and host of the TV show "America's Most Wanted". The show was created by Walsh in honor of his son. Since the show was launched, of the 525 criminals who have been featured on the show, 490 have been apprehended or located. John Walsh is also a victim's rights advocate as well as a criminal investigator.

"...if someone tries to hijack the plane, can you jump on them and make sure they stay down?" I'm very unfit but at over 300 lbs, anyone I jump on is going to stay down. Sorry if that squicks anyone(but not much), but I got a huge chuckle from thinking about that.

"Oh they dont dump waste it gets pumped into a truck at the airport." "oh they dump it in the ocean all the time" hmmm contradiction detected

One time they dimmed the light, had us close our shades and turned off all the lights on the outside of the plane. It was a night landing in the middle East for the military.

I like how it says they never dump it over sea, there's no button for that, but later on it says oh yeah sometimes they dump it over sea. "blue juice" makes the whole thing look cap.

7500, 7600, 7700 are transponder codes. Not used over the intercom. 7600 and 7700 mean 2 different things. 7600 means comm failure and 7700 means emergency. It is used to tell ATC you are having issues and to show up on their system more prominently.

I'm not going to address any of the other inaccuracies just bc there are so many, but I question whether they even bothered to Google any of these topics. 🤦‍♀️

Yeah, board last - if you do not have any hand luggage that needs to be stored in the overhead compartment. If you have, you may end up last to get off the plane because the flight attendant put your hand luggage 10 rows back.. Good luck in retrieving it before the mad rush to get off the plane sets in..

I sat in the front seat and the attendant knew it was my first time flying and was a little nervous so she thought it was fun to mess with me which really helped by keeping me laughing.

Pilot here. 7600 is the transponder code for radio failure, while 7700 is the code for general emergencies.

In flight, never seen flames coming from the front of an engine. Always be blown through the back of a jet engine.

Misinformation in the video. There are smoke detectors in lavatories in U.S. carriers mandated by federal law. Normally, passengers found to be smoking on non-smoking flights will, at least, face a fine and, at most, be arrested and detained upon landing. Due to stringent security measures, this often causes disruption; a flight may have to be diverted or a scheduled landing might have to be expedited upon arrival at the destination airport in order to escort the smoker from the plane.
