What else you got? Just joking. Thank you for all your well researched and plainly spoken content. It is so helpful and informative.

Fascinating. Thank you for bringing this information to us.
I find it remarkable that even though the compilations of the Torah steered away from any discussions about a possible afterlife, the presence of the amulets in the burial sites suggests that those concerns are part of the popular practices and beliefs. Then again, it reinforces the idea that the final compilations were done as part of the efforts to shift power dynamics.

While very neat on its own, this artefact also highlights how bizarre the Mt. Ebal inscription thing is: neat rows of legible letters vs... whatever the hell those spirals of cracks were.

Interesting that you point out that these may in fact predate the composition of the bible. I always felt that myself in my debates with certain bible worshipping apologists who use there existence as evidence that the bible was older. I had always recognized that they are merely evidence that this specific prayer was around in some possibly oral tradition form and the person with the amulets deemed it special enough to have them inscribed

How does the Ethiopian Bible fit into the narrative? When and why has the current version of the bible differ.

The apotropaic amulet and the person who made it inspire me to think about the role of the craftsman. Was it a slave that had no engagement with the text other than to copy it or a priest that knew what it meant? Additionally, I think about the quality of the penmanship. Is this an example of mature competence circa 600 BCE?

Is there any hope that the Herculaneum scrolls will turn out to contain biblical texts or references to the first Cristians?

I can't tell you how much I enjoy videos that don't have "let's see it" as a line, and that doesn't sound like a political advertisement. Thank you.

It is fascinating to consider that parts of the Bible were assembled from common use phrases. I like to believe that it opens our eyes to their manners of speech.

I think its good to know that bad handwriting is a universal human constant. JK, but it probably was quite challenging to write that on silver plated scrolls in 600 BCE.

What about the cuneiform tablet with the story of the flood of Noah on it? Of course, it’s Enki and not YHWH that floods the earth, and the ark is round and not rectangular but there’s clearly a genetic relationship between the stories…

So it's more proof that the books weren't written by one man at a certain time but it was conglomerates of texts from "holymen" I know most will have no idea what I'm talking

Would be interested to know more about Old Hebrew. How does that relate to Paleo-Hebrew? I was reading that the Torah was originally written in paleo-hebrew. I was wondering if that is how they write it in the Sefer Torah? Also wondering when the Jews started being extremely diligent in their creation of Torah scrolls to try to insure that there are no errors?

I thought it was going to be Shapira's Deuteronomy scroll fragments actually, though we don't know where those are now so they probably don't qualify for this.

4 inches long and half an inch wide? Those are pretty big scrolls, I'd say. Huge even. Like, way bigger than average.
