WOW!!  One of the Miracles of the Quran is the fact GOD promised that he will safeguard it from any changes or loses.  That is why since GOD revealed the HOLY QURAN to the Prophet Muhammad it remains the exact same.

Am holding a copy of coran in my hand and paused at 1:48 and checked by my self. it is not only similar but it is 100% authentic word for word and it will continue to be so. now for those who know arabic they can read it on their computer screen, the difference people see it not with the actual scripture or words but rather the still of writing and in arabic there is many different ways of hand writing, but they are read the same way.

this is definitely verses from surah "AL-KAHF" .. what a glorious book ! at 1:49 in the video the page on the right starts with this :

One correction which is required here is that "it is from the time when Islam was born" rather it is from that time period when rules, regulations and all sort of guidelines of Islam was getting its final form.🙂

A very important message from Sheikh Ayman Suwayd regarding recent finding of old Copy of The Quran in Birmingham University

Assalamu Alaikum Wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh.
Respected brothers and sisters; the news has spread that parts of a very old copy of The Quran has been found in Birmingham University. They are saying that through Carbon checks they have found that it goes back to the Prophetic period approximately and that its very old and its an amazing news.

I want to just highlight the difference between the western academic studies method and our Islamic studies system. The western study process depends on oldness / age alone. They will suffice by saying it has been found that it returns to a certain period in time. Nothing besides this concerns them.

As for us Muslims alhamudlillah - if for example a part of the Quran was found and the Carbon checks proved that it is very old and ages back to the Prophetic time; in our study curriculum to ascertain this we have two fundamental questions.
The first question is who wrote it? Because we don't take our deen (religious studies) from nobodies nor do we take our deen from unknowns. Because it could be that the writer was uneducated or that he was an enemy or that the writer wrote it from his memory and the memory can forget.

The second crucial question is; where did the writer write it from, ie where did he copy it from? Because The Quran isnt written from the head, rather it is written from a copy before it.
We know that the first time the glorious Quran was written it was in front of the Prophet (peace be upon him) on what was available in that era. Thereafter during the time of Our leader Abu bakr As siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) when he summoned Hadrat Zayd Bin Thabit to compile the Quran and write it; He (Zayd bin Thabit) collected all of those pieces which were written in the presence of The prophet (peace be upon him) and copied them onto what became knows as the Bakriyyah As Siddiqiyyah Pamphlets.
Later on During the time of Uthman Bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) when he wanted to make more copies of The Quran; again it was Zayd Bin Thabit who lead the project and Uthman said to Hafsa bint Umar (may Allah be pleased with her) send us the pamphlets so that we can copy them. Hence The Quran is copied from a copy before it and isn't written from memory.

Therefore when a copy of the Quran reaches us like this truncated the way they found in Sana University or Birminghim University or any other place in the world; it doesnt shake us. I know that some orientalists have taken advantage of this to try and shake the beliefs of the Muslims in their holy book. They said a copy has been found which ages back to the first century etc and it is different from what the Muslims have today and this could review the status of the principles of Islam. None of what they said holds any value.

Our system is based on who wrote and from where. This is how we verify. We ask who wrote it so that we can be sure that he was righteous, protecting of his deen and upheld its rules. We ask from where did he copy so that we can be certain that it was copied from a reliable copy and not from the top his head or from an unreliable copy.

I wanted to draw your attention to this so that if the news reaches you on back of pamphlets or copies of Quran which are old and go back to prophetic times according to examinations: if it agrees and matches what we already have as the Quran then we say welcome. However if it differs from what we have then the realiable is the Quran we have.
