Interesting thoughts. I'll add a couple...

I read somewhere that the educational system(s) in the U.S. are based on (designed for) Si and Te, and I think a lot of what you said about at-its-worst Te from an individual perspective translates to the institutional perspective as well. Many students are alienated or left behind due to their inability (or at least disinclination) to "buy into" systems of learning and thought which are presented as appropriate for everyone.

And then, of course, there is the current political climate in the U.S., where if you do not think (or at least pretend to think) 100% as the tribe tells you to think (whichever tribe that may be), you can find yourself in significant trouble. Thinking outside the tribal box has always been perilous, of course, but perhaps more so now than usual.

As a Ti-dominant INTP, what I find most mind-boggling and frustrating about Te is that - contrary to a lot of what you read about it - facts and logic don't necessarily matter much for it. They're only a means to an end, and once a seemingly "good enough" explanation or process is found, over-simplification can rule and nuance (or even huge swaths of data) can be ignored. But for Ti (which of course has its own blind spots and weaknesses), "the devil is in the details."

Yes, well articulated. I conceptualize this as the Soviet Union state bureucracy or as simply a prison guard mentality. It's Te when your job becomes a prison, or your economic system/whole society becomes a prison and the Te person is the "leader", "manager" or "prison guard" that comes up with a great idea about stamping a barcode in your forehead or something to make things better.
