If too many people come here it'll be a "Pana-monium." No but seriously #Panama really is like the "bridge between two worlds" linking North and South. And now they've become a sort of "Singapore-esque" nation with lots going on. ENJOY! Feel free to let me know anything I should've added to this episode!

As a Costa Rican I can confirm Panama is our best friend, except when it comes to football.

Panama: *9 months of rain annually*
Ireland: Huh. We should hang out sometime.

Fun fact: November is called "Mes de la Patria" because these celebrations like Independence from Spain, Separation of Panama from Colombia and Flag Day were dated in the month of November.

My uncle enlisted in the Army during the Vietnam war. Since he wasnt drafted he was able to go to Panama for a year. He never went to Vietnam.

One famous German book for children is "O wie schön ist Panama" (O how beautiful is Panama) in which a bear and a tiger search for Panama.

I was born in Panama when my dad was stationed there with the US Navy in 1990. We lived there for about 5 years. I have always wanted to go back and visit. <3

There are also a ton of Chinese in Panama who are descendants of the Chinese who built the canal.

There are around 200, 000 Chinese Panamanians living in Panama BTW FYI (Geography Now) (around 5% of the population). Also love your channel 🥰 Panama Canal was also built by Chinese and Jamaicans and many other immigrants. They deserve credit too for building the canal and contributions to Panama’s society 🤦🏻‍♀️ Also hola from a fellow Panameña 🇵🇦

I feel left out of this video :( there are a lot of asians (chinese specifically) in Panama that also came to work on the railroad. There is also mix between chinese and the rest of the other ethnicities in panama making it usual to find people with asian last names, but mixed features.

There is also influence from the French language in the Panamanian lingo. For example the word "Beaucoup", which means a lot in French, is used in Panama as "buco" to mean the same.

I am Panamanian... I stand up and applause, the information is really accurate. I just have to correct that after Tocumen International Airport, the second most important is Enrique Malek International Airport in David City, Chiriqui Province. Bocas del Toro Airport is important but smaller.

I lived in Panama in 1991, and I honestly remember per 12:09, I first heard that beat in Panama which would eventually make it to Puerto Rico as reggaetón; just saying, I too believe it started out in Panama.
