While the movie wasn't quite as good as the original, the soundtrack for Blues Brothers 2000 is every bit as good as the original. I love to watch it time and time again and listen to the soundtrack in the car when I go on trips.

This movie entered into Guiness Book of Records for featuring the biggest car pile-up in history. The previous record stood for 18 years - since the original movie which held previous record. When Elwood tells others "Don't look back" and they all, naturally turn around to see, you can clearly count 63 cars.

Out of all the people on the stage, I love how BB King chooses to ask Eric Clapton for "Permission" if the group should Jam.
BB King: "What do you think Eric ?
Eric: "No, I don't want to Jam, let's just all go home"
Then everyone there would have just gone home, if Eric Clapton said "No", So that would have changed the whole movie right there.
And the Movie would have just ended. It's a good thing Eric said "Why Not? "

First of all, I think this could possibly(as a music fan) be the greatest scene in the industry of film. But as important, and maybe more important, Nia Peeples is the cutest and hottest woman ever.😍

Junior Wells appeared in this ending and credits. Sadly, he did not live to see the finished movie as he died a month before it was released. The movie was eventually dedicated to Wells, and to the three original movie cast members who passed aways since 1980 - Cab Callaway, John Candy, and, of course, John Belushi. A further tribute to Callaway is that brand new character Cab was named after him.
As of December, of the credited guest musicians 21 are still alive - Erykah Badu, all five members of Blues Traveler, Eddie Floyd, Jonny Lang, Sam Moore, Skunk Baxter, Gary U.S. Bonds, Eric Clapton, Jack DeJohnette, Jon Faddis, Charlie Musslewhite, Joshua Redman, Paul Shaffer, Travis Tritt, Jimmie Vaughan, Willie Weeks and Steve Winwood.

I love how this was back when celebrities didn’t just cameo as themselves but actual characters

Jim Belushi was origiinally supposed to reprise his role of Brother Zee. However, his contract with ABC for drama Total Security prevented hiim from appearing. Therefore, characters of Mighty Mack and Cab were created as his replacements.

Paul Shaffer was member of Blues Brothers band back in 1980, but he was the only member who could not appear in original movie due to scheduling conflicts with his television work. This time he managed to reschedule his TV duties so he could make appearance in this movie.

One thing you have to remember when The Blues Brothers first came on the scene the great Paul Shaffer was director of the Saturday Night Live band

And you can also see very clearly on both of these great songs during the jam what Paul definitely brings to the table as far as organizing this and making sure it all went down so well with all the guest players

I know the plot may sound dull, some of the acting performances are mediocre, some elements of the plot are out of place and some of the scenes can be cringy, but let's face it, the musical numbers and the whole score are the saint grial of this movie and this is the proof of it, such an underrated treasure

The range of musical talent in both movies is phenomenal but obviously the 1st movie is so much better
