Never seen a NSW man as passionate about his state as Joey. Legend thanks for the wonderful memories ❤

As an avid sports fan, but a Victorian, it was incredible watching Andrew Johns play.
He was awe inspiring as he was just so obviously so much better than everyone else. It really stuck out to someone who didn’t grow up watching rugby league. Just on another level. You appreciate it when you’re watching greatness.

Hahaha Joey rolling his eyes at 1:41 is gold 😂

I feel Joey respects these 2 more than he’s own Blues sometimes, his admiration for Thurston is so obvious, he would’ve loved to have played with Smithy and Thurston especially Billy Slater

I’m a Blues fan big time but I really love the players they acknowledge each other for their time during footy.
That what makes footy interesting, enemy in the field for 80 minutes but have a beer after and praise each other.
Amazing 👍👍

As much as I love Locky and Cooper Cronk the thought of Johns being at halfback with Billy, JT and Smith in the spine sounds absolutely terrifying. Its clear these guys would have loved the chance to play together for the Kangaroos

Can you imagine the 04 05 nsw team up against the 10yr dominant qld team. Now that would have been proper footy.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, every single legend of origin except maybe Lewis, got schooled hard by another legend. In 1987 Alfie langer debuts, has a blinder and 10 seconds from full time Peter sterling redirects play down the blindside and the blues go in for a match winning try.
Game 1 1998 Andrew johns and Allan langer square off for the 1st time as opposing halfbacks. Alfie scores a try lays on another 2 has 1 forced drop out and generally dominates johns, Fittler and Daley. Game 2 2005 Andrew johns comes back from injury. Savagely and ruthlessly destroys Lockyer, smith, Thurston. The fact is every great got smacked and every great learned that an origin is 80 minutes, not 79:58 and they all learned that getting on top is hard, staying there requires a ruthlessness that few have ever shown.

Every time joey touched the ball. He left the opposition guessing, and the players that backed him up always knew he would come up with the goods.

Just so much towards Cameron Smith and Jonathan They did deliver utterly from the lessons when the Maroons got the better of the Blues in the coming years .... Great facts shared Joey's a legend ❤

If Joey was still playing during the dominant era of QLD, I think he will levelled the plain field on his own. His game IQ is unmatched.

Andrew Johns has always gotten the number 7 jersey in my all-time fantasy dream team. Despite being a blue 😂

In John’s era, he played with and against guys like King Wally Lewis, Ricky Stuart, Allan Langer, Geoff Toovy, Lorrie Daily, Brad Fitler, Nathan Brown, Brad Clyde, Steve Renough, Andrew Ettingshausen, Bret Mullins, Steve blocker Roach, Paul Sironen, Glen Lazarus, Wendle Sailor, Anthony Mundine, Lote Tuqiri when he played NRL (before Union) Sonnet Bill Williams (before he went to Union ) Cliff Lyons, Benny Elias, Rod Wishart, Steve and Kevin Walters, Darren Lockyer etc. Who did these 2 play against in their prime or at their peak ? I can think of a couple of players, but most would never have been able to compete with the list above.

Respect!! That's all Joey is the greatest at reigns and as a Blues supporter that's how I see it. But these two Maroons legends are awesome and are looming immortals JT voted by Channel Nine as the greatest, . Cam Smith just set another milestone as well. Having the trio is just amazing Legends .... Views may differ on who the greatest is, but let it be yours, mine and who else's Great Respect 👌
