Luckily I knew most of this in a roundabout sort of way as watched several videos on this topic. You did a great job in simplifying it Liz and thanks. I am moving from Sydney to Nis soon, fingers crossed to be with my Mrs, and has taken me 5 yrs and now things are getting much closer. 99% packed and just sorting the finances. Cannot wait to get to Serbia and leave Oz and be with my Mrs, finally, and never to return to Oz. Once I get my Super in a few years, I'll be canceling my Oz citizenship....that is how much I am over this country.

Though she is a certified translator, I imagine she couldn't be your interpreter in this case due to conflict of interests.
One last point as you know Serbian well, why would a translator be required at the notary office?
