When I usually here people here in the US talking about "China stealing their technology", I laugh very hard. Just about the day to day living technology/ internet of thing, China is at least 5 - 10 years ahead of the US. I was in China in 2015, they already have robot seving in restaurants....

From the 80s onwards and for more than 30 years, China has been learning from Singapore. Throughout those years Chinese officials were sent to Singapore to learn and copy, from the building of ports, managing of hospitals, schools, now China has overtaken Singapore in many ways....I am Singaporean and I am proud of China too.

When I visited this port in 1992, most of the Chinese mega-ports of today were rather empty on most days and their staff would look at their calendar and then indicate the dates ships were expected to arrive! What a change today!!! Soon with an aging population, the workers would be deployed just to press the button! Maybe this is also automated! In term of their logistics progress, I think even Singapore could not compete!
