So true what she says. If you don't meet their criterias, they will never let you in. If you like you just came out from your office better turn around and go to the taxi rank. Saying this if I dress sado and I don't make ness, why I cannot go in there?

What she says about what the place represents is absolutely right.

HOWEVER, because it’s not a first-come-first-served club, there’s emphasis and pressure on first impression ie. your look and outfits that can be tricky and sometimes too much because some people try too hard to get the ‘right look’, to dress as edgy as possible even if it’s out of their comfort zone. And whether we like it or not, Berghain has a specific look. It’s not enough if you’re queer, not enough if you’re a gay man that has been to ‘adult’ clubs all over the world, not enough if you’re a techno lover, when you dress, it helps to know what Berlin is about. Therefore, from an international standpoint, Berghain is elitist.

I used to feel that techno (house, trance whatever) was a free and safe environment just because people were tuned into pure Spirit, wich means we were equal. Spirit has no labels, it's sad to me that now is full of labels, people label themselves and in my opinion this means that the rave has become strongly politicial
