im not even close to a legal expert, but if true, wouldn't this go far beyond being against the rules of the sport and be a criminal offense? shouldn't the police be investigating instead of the fa?

Well said Mr Keown... I'd go further, alcohol advertising is banned. Gambling advertising also should banned. Gambling is an appalling waste of money, and, an act of self-sabotage.

It does affect the game, he's on a yellow if he fucks up he's off, he has to play differently after the yellow. Unless he's been doing it really late on

What about players who get booked on purpose before Christmas or knock out games in the champions league so they can avoid playing the next match is that not the same thing

Having watched the four fouls which Paqueta made, and which he was booked for, it’s difficult to see how the FA have a case. Not particularly bad tackles, and probably down to poor refereeing more than looking for a booking.
