If Ivan toney wants 250k and brentford want 60m that's a 110m+ on a 5 year deal. For a 28yr old who will soon be 29👀 it's a no from me...

TalkSPORT producers keep inviting this guy back for clicks. He pops up on all their shows.

I am not a spurs supporter but respect to Matt he was passionate about his club and Simon Jordan should have taken him seriously and not try and score cheap points

We've spent over £300 million since Ange arrived to START a complete rebuild. It doesn't happen overnight and, like him or not, Solanke is who Ange wanted. Like with Arsenal, the rebuild can take several seasons and there needs to be a bit of patience. The club are trying to balance the rebuild, and growth, with allowing the likes of Bergvall, Gray, Moore, Lankshear, Vuskovic, Yang etc. to come through. Yes, the club have made some poor moves in the past but they are starting to get things right.

As a spurs supporter I will say it again and again Levy has failed to deliver! From 1990-1999 we won 2 trophies. ENIC and levy take over and we have won one trophy in 25 years. That’s unacceptable. Levy failed to back Poch and this is the result. We were constantly finishing above arsenal and were close a few times to winning the league and a odd trophy but bottled it. Mourinho says it all the time he does not consider Tottenham a former club. Conte ranted about the mentality of the club and players at his disposal and walked. Poor Poch not backed for two years when he had a chance to win a trophy. Same old story. Now we are depending on these youngsters to come through increasing the pressure on them. Yes im for patience but one trophy in 25 years for a club like spurs is unacceptable. ENIC out levy out!!

The caller is not wrong man, Simon's answer was "in a billion pound stadium" real fans want to see results and trophies and money not spent on average players and transfers that come in on the last day, all you see Simon laughing and making jokes because the caller was right in every aspect

25 years ago Spurs' average league finish was outside top 10.

Last 10 years, bar 2022/23, they finished in top 6.

Champions League final also reached during Levy's tenure.

A top stadium and a reasonable shout at a top 4 finish going in to 2024/25.

Sounds like mismanagement to me 😄

Not even a Spurs fan (I am a gooner) but the caller is RIGHT for calling out Simon Jordan. Is happy to critique other club owners and their Chairmen but will NOT say a bad word against Daniel Levy!
Not transparent

So many football fans still struggle with the fact that PL clubs are businesses. Where they differ from virtually every other type of business however is that they have what is in effect a captive market because most fans stay loyal to a club regardless of how well it is doing on the pitch. When you look at Spurs since Levy took over the CL Final (which was unexpected) became almost a watershed moment, although I think the plans were already in please to start a total grass roots rebuild well before then . There was no money made available for Poch to spend on new players for three consecutive transfer windows while the money was ploughed back in to building a new ground. Poch left and who can blame him but he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. When cash was eventually made available we made a number of really poor choices on the players we bought. I think it is obvious now however that we have a new and clear strategy when it comes to the transfer market with a focus on age and potential. Ange has only been with us for a season and already the strength in depth of the squad is starting to look quite impressive. He is clearly having a significant input into the hiring and firing of players unlike Conte who always said he had virtually no say whatsoever. I think Spurs will make a strong challenge for a top four place this Season and I also think we will be able to go much deeper into the cups because of the strength in depth we are building. COYS
