I recently converted and in 7 months I started wearing the hijab. Today was my second day wearing it outside! I don’t live near Muslims so I get lots of stares. But you guys help me not feel lonely in my journey! ❤

I’m a Roman catholic. Woman(mainly at mass) can wear a veil. The reason why some do and some don’t is simply this. We believe that god is present in the host which is his body and wine which is his blood. Woman wear veils as an external sign of a woman's interior desire to humble herself before God, truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. Thank you for reading this and learning about my religion for a bit!

i come from Armenian Catholic Christian background, and at our churches we had to cover arms up to wrists, wear long skirts, loose clothing in general, and of course cover our heads. Im not Eastern Catholic anymore, but still remember the time that I got scolded by the priest for wearing a dress with short sleeves to Sunday service.

Now I am Muslim Alhamdulillah and I hope to one day have the courage to wear the hijab, but it is hard to imagine for now as I dont know what reaction to expect from my Armenian family. Please make dua for me ❤

being all coverd is also weirdly comforting/camling when stresses, overstiumalted or anxious. i often wear a hood or even a scarf around my head and neck at home for no other reason than mental comfort

i live in a very catholic country, and I like discovering things on my own skin. So it came out like it did, that I was wearing hijab two times outside, and this was absolutely amazing. I felt really confident and comfy in this. Now I'm at an online study session and wearing hijab, It's giving me such a comfort 💗

I'm Native American and I have a very long braid. Keeping it covered in public deters people from touching it or asking to. It can be offensive or violating to touch a Natives hair without permission because we believe or hair holds parts of our soul and memories. Only those I love deeply are the ones I want touching my hair. Wearing a hijab makes me feel safe!

I am atheist(no religion) but recently I went on a trip to a mosque and our teacher said put a hijab on to be respectful and I found it uncomfortable but I wore it to be respectfull

Sikhs also cover their heads during prayer or visiting the Gurdwara as a sign of respect.
