James Beard Award–winning chef Yotam Ottolenghi, author of bestselling cookbooks—including Ottolenghi, Plenty, Simple, and Jerusalem—and food columnist for The Guardian and The New York Times, shares his techniques and teaches you recipes for bright, delicious spreads of flavorful vegetables and other dishes in his new MasterClass on modern Middle Eastern cooking. Learn to create platters packed with bold flavors and colors and enjoy the process of cooking. Whether you’re a seasoned home cook or just getting started, Yotam will help you cook with joy, ease, and confidence.

Born and raised in Israel, Yotam Ottolenghi built a name for himself as a restaurateur in London, where he opened the first Ottolenghi delicatessen. His emphasis on the role of food as a connector and community builder came through in his cookbooks, the first of which, Ottolenghi, published in 2008, became an instant bestseller. He followed up with vegetarian recipes in Plenty and Plenty More, and the BBC has credited him as “the driving force” behind rising interest in vegetarian and Middle Eastern cuisines.

Now a food columnist for The Guardian and The New York Times, which has also dubbed him “the philosopher chef,” Yotam has launched a portfolio of acclaimed restaurants and delis. He’s been honored with more than a dozen culinary awards, including two James Beard Awards for his cookbooks.

In this online class, you’ll learn about:
• Layering flavors, textures, and colors
• Food as a visual experience

I’m Norwegian, a citizen of planet earth and I happen to be a Jew who is extremely fond of Middle Eastern food and particularly of Lebanese gastronomy which I honestly think it’s one of the best food in the world. Y.Ottolenghi is very creative and has good ideas and recipes, but it would be even greater if MC would bring a Lebanese chef like the sorts you find in Beirut to teach us the secret of their unparalleled flavors.

Came here after listening about your fame on Charvaka Podcast on vegetarian foods. You were mentioned by our favourite AIM. I eat every thing except beef. But since i came to learn about your fame as a vegetarian cook, which is the hardest job in food industry to make a vegetarian food taste good, that too in the areas like yours where spices aren't as abundant as in India, you are almost a superchef. I will learn your tips and tricks like a nursery kid. Pranam Guru Ji🙏🙏

To any sentence one could say, yes, who isnt…who doesnt…who wouldnt…..
But the world population love klischees, common places, elbow sell strategies and selfcompliments. I am great, I am the greatest! And people go: yes yes!!!! You are you are!! And we are also great because we are your fans!!!

food, art and music is actual culture, something which can be shared and enjoyed together. Rest of things man has created are just - not culture

The best way to learn is to have neighbors who will have you over for dinner and feed you and have you take home leftovers with a recipe.
Living in Jordan and Lebanon, feeding the stranger is a way of life.
Jesus said:” if you love me, feed my sheep”. He also fed the multitude with two fishes and five loaves.
The more you give freely, the richer you become because God will bless you.
Be kind to one another, especially now.
