And to think people were complaining about the Supra being a reskinned BMW. We’re lucky it even came back as a 2 door sports car.

My first ever Mitsu was a 1995 Evo that was louder at the intake then it was at the exhaust. I then got a Cayenne Red Pearl 1998 Eclipse. That was the most fun driving through little back roads in the mountains. My last was a Galant. It was the perfect family car that was still fun to drive. After an illness made me paralyzed in 2016 I gave it to my sister and she still drives it and looks like new.

Jackie Chan also promoted Mitsubishi like hell. Almost all of his movies in the 80s and 90s were seen him driving Mitsubishis.

Mitsubishi downfall in one of the most tragic and sad events in Automotive History. The 70s to 2000s were the Golden age of Mitsubishi. R.I.P to the Mighty Lan Evo, FTO, GTO/3000 GT, Starion, Pajero/Montero Evo, Galant VR-4, Diamente All legendary cars that sadly won't return anytime soon.

Mitsubishi is doing really great in South East Asia serving what the market needs and wants. Its just that producing high performance/sports and fun cars like the Eclipse, Lancer, GT doesnt sell well anymore.

For those that don't know, Mitsubishi manufactured the Zero plane during WW2, one of the most iconic aircraft of all time.

I recently went to Japan. Mitsubishi is everywhere, not just on the street. It seems like they're focusing on their appliances and public transport, but I still miss seeing what brought them to the greenlight.

I think a very important, or rather a few important notes here would be:

1) Mitsubishi Motors is NOT even a part of the Mitsubishi Group's core. Mitsubishi Motors is a small part of Mitsubishi and was formerly a subsidiary under Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.

2) Mitsubishi Motor's change from "passion" cars to more practical ones have actually boosted their business revenues and is a very strong brand outside of N. America. In many places, Mitsubishi often rivals Toyota.

So, downfall? Hardly. Mitsubishi is primarily a financial, heavy machinery, mining, energy, electrical, and defense industries that makes cars on the sidelines.

Been rollin a 2024 Outlander Black Edition for about a year and I absolutely love it. Stunning minimalist interior, the most attractive body styling in Outlander history, plus it’s very capable out on the trails. HIGHLY recommend 👌

I’ll never forget my ‘91 Galant VR-4. I should have never sold it.

How dare you reduce 3000GT to a mere footnote? It was the crowning jewel not Lancer or Eclipse, and was closest you ever got to Skyline R34, VR-4 matched R32 on track.

The good old 90s Japanese sports cars. But now it's the 2020 Chinese EV era

I'm so glad I came across this video! I learned to drive manual in a 2004 Eclipse, and I honestly didn't even notice they had all but disappeared until my car was totaled and I was looking for a new to me car. For me, if I'm buying a car I'm about reliability, something that can handle the weather elements (aka not RWD), and nothing bigger than a midsized sedan. Prior to the Eclipse I'd only ever driven a Cadillac and a Camry, and you guys from 13:24 - 13:33 was me the first time I shifted into 5th gear on interstate 70. I remember that exact moment, and the surreal feeling of gliding

As an owner of a 97 GSX, it hurts seeing an suv eclipse

The Montero would probably unironically bring Mitsubishi back to a competitive state here in the US, my Mom had one and she loved that car.
