Y’all that’s not dandruff. It’s either dry shampoo or some other product that’s dried into the brush like hairspray. Some people also use baking soda and brush it through their hair to help with grease and it creates that powdery film on the brush.

Not the shampoo, Im a hairstylist and after cleaning out hair we wash the brushes with dishsoap then soak it in hospital grade disinfectant and it has to be done between clients to avoid spreading germs.

Use baking soda and apple cider vinegar and/or white vinegar aswell as the shampoo water. The clean up will be so much faster

How often do you clean your brushes? Just curious! I only do once a month because I don't use my brushes much.only about once a week before I wash my hair. I use wide comes and picks between washes so they get washed a lot more often.
