I must be a psychopath because thrillers are my comfort genre! 🤣 I love how people can enjoy the same hobby in different ways.

This was so helpful because I am a sucker for Collen, Christina Lauren, TJR… In one of Haley’s videos she talked about A book called “ Finlay Donvon is killing it” and helped me brunch out of my comfort zone and now I am currently reading the second book 💖

I hope one day you can get the chance to read The lunar Chronicles series. It is my absolute favorite even though it is sci-fi which I feel is a genre that is not so comfortable for me. There are four main books and each are based on fairytale retelling. Cinder, the first one is based on Cinderella, Scarlet on Red riding hood, Cress on Repunzal and Winter on Snow White. What I love about these books besides the character and the plot is the romance. Absolutely no spice, just cuteness all throughout and there are four main couples so you get to explore a lot. Also, the world building shoudn’t be too hard to understand since it is based in a futuristic era so while some things are different, it is still the same real world like ours. There are two more books, Fairest, which comes between Cress and Winter, and Stars Above which is a collection of short stories after Winter. You don’t necessarily have to read them. I hope you can try the seres out one day because it is absolutely

I'm glad that you are sort of branching out and enjoying it, I started doing the same thing and I find it so weird that I want to pick up mystery books when I normally pick up romance or YA too. fantasy is one of my favorite things ever just because of the romance subplots and the world building just grows on you

So excited for this! I’m a sucker for romance as well. Maybe I should try to expand my interests when it comes to book genres…I’ll definitely be taking from your recommendations 😊

This is why we love you Haley! You always push your self to grow and evolve which always makes me want to do the same ☺️. My comfort zone book is also romantic comedies so I completely understand how you’re feeling but now I just might branch out too 😅

If you end up trying out si-fi books, you need to read Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir! This is the book that opened up my reading comfort zone:) it’s just incredible and keeps you so interested the whole time

My comfort genre is thriller/mystery, so seeing you get into it is so exciting! Historical fiction and sci-fi are also genres out of my comfort zone, but this video is inspiring me to give them a try!

for historical books, you might like the veronica speedwell series, the first book is called “a curious beginning”. it’s a mystery series set in england in the 1800s, but the language isn’t super difficult to get into and has a great slow burn romance subplot! it’s classified as adult I think but i’m like 4 books in and had no spice :)

I find historical romance such a great stepping stone into the historical fiction genre 🌸

Hi Haley! Every time I watch your reading/book videos, it inspires me to read! I love reading but for the past couple of weeks I haven’t been able to read because I just don’t feel like it. So I’m so glad you make reading/book videos so I can get into reading again!

So happy for you! Thrillers are my go to! I think you’ll find the ones that aren’t so creepy if it’s not something taking place at home. Love this journey for you! Can’t wait to see what you pick up next!

I am a Fantasy reader since I was a baby- Percy Jackson, Mortal Instruments and Harry Potter brought me into this world. And also my favorite book of all time is Alice in Wonderland. ✨🥺 I've been trying to experiment other genres like Thrillers (because i love love horror films and i think its the closest thing I could possibly read beyond fantasy). I also read Historical Fictions (since im a history geek snd practically a professional historian) But, I'm trying my hardest to get into the Romance genre, idk 😐 i appreciate a good romance book, like ive read 3 books from CoHo and ive experimented with other books as well. But, If I could choose a genre at the end of the day. It would still be fantasy, because of the complexity and world building- i like books that takes me out of the ordinary circumstances where i live in. You can say im more of a dreamer than a romantic gal. But, im trying my best to read more romance books in the future (thats not CoHo, i love her but i want to discover more books thats not from the same author). I also want to try non-fiction and other genres as well. 🥺 This video makes me want to pickup a book thats not fantasy 💁🏼‍♀️

I like how fairy books are the equivalent of vampire books of the early 2000
