P0011 P0014 Dont ever let This Happen

Diagnose check engine light found stored code p0011 and p0021 for 4 valve timing over Advanced or timing correlation for the variable valve timing system. Barrel valve timing systems on these newer Vehicles all controlled by oil and oil pressure.

The first thing you're going to do is inspect your oil condition and oil level. In order for the valve valve timing system to work properly oil needs to be full and clean. 5900 oil on the dipstick of this vehicle causing p0011 and p0021 for codes to set.

Just checked my wife's car and it threw a code P0011 and viewed your video and followed your recommendations and presto, the oil was at the bottom of the hash marks topped it up and the car is fine. I had no idea these cars were that focused on electronics. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I just bought a used Acadia, drove it away and the money light lit up. I couldn't believe it, ran the code and saw P0011, parts store recommended VVT solenoid. I saw your video, did a full synthetic oil change and CEL is no more. THANKS!

Just fixed a friends car. All It needed was oil. I checked the dipstick and absolute no oil I was surprised they even made it to a gas station to meet them.

The 2.4L ecotec engine has a class action against them for piston rings. It might not be that every case is neglect.

Thats so funny I had a customer bring me a car tonight from 2 hrs away that had been to another shop and the dealership and at no point did anyone think hey check the oil lmao

I have a 2007 subaru impreza GH2 which has shown check engine light and upon checking the oil it had nothing on the dip stick also the car has been smoking in the morning and after warming up the smoke clears. I have put in new oil and Diagnosis has show error code P0011 A camshaft position system performance have cleared the code using diagnostic tool. What should I do? do I have change the camshaft sensor?

I don’t think it’s always neglect. I’ve got this code throwing at me. I consistently get the oil changed and check it all the time. I’ve also cleaned the solenoids as well as replaced them. At this point it still hasn’t gone away and am worried it’s an electrical issue.. 😞

think this happened to me from letting my oil run out. Changed my oil and filter but still have the code. cleared it but think itll come back. think i ruined the vvt solenoid?

I have four hundred seventy thousand miles on a I6 4.2 Chevy Trailblazer, and we ended up having to change out the timing chain and cam gears and all related sensors because of a p0016 caused by a disintegrated chain guide shoe. We got rid of the p0016. Truck runs fine but when it warms up it throws the codes P0171 and a p0014 after driving . We change the oil every 3, 000 Miles. I don't think it's neglect in every case. Any suggestions? 1:20

Hello. I have a 2007 Saturn outlook. One day my vehicle gave me "traction control off". "Service traction control".
"Service starbilitrak" (I think that's how you spell it) well it came on and turn off for like a good 30min on my way back home... Now another day I drove it and it gave me those to message on the dash two times after coming from grocery store and heading back home 40min (no check engine light by the way) so I finally decided to grab my scan tool and a p0014 showed on the scan tool.. I seen video where it could just be low on oil. I haven't changed the oil in months. Right now it's at 30% oil life remaining. I'm going to check the oil tommorow. First thing in the morning. I'm hoping that this is a common problem or maybe needing to replace the Variable Valve selenoid.

My wife's car ran dry oil sorted now and changed a solenoid code went but came back after a few miles. It's a chain not a belt but is running fine as far as I can see it would cost 100's to sort out but I suspect its something to do with it going so low on oil. Ps oil warning light obviously isn't working either

I have a Kia Rio My car got the same code. I just got my oil changed today and the engine light went away. The thing is my car was a little low on oil. I still had oil in it. It seems perhaps these cars are picky about the amount of oil.

i had overhaul an engine sorento 2.4 as the engine oil mic with radiator water, after everything done, p0011 and p0014 came out.i had change both vvti pulley and sensor, but still this p0011 came out.i used all original part with 5w-30 spec engine oil.is there any reason if the tensioner too tight will cause the exhaust or either intake cam angle degree missed out a bit?

I had the same problem today the engine check light was on after a diagnostic I got a code p0011 and After checking the engine oil it was very low.i did and oil change instantly but the engine check light remains.what should I do?I noticed that after changing the oil and the filter there was no noise anymore.what should I do next ?I need your help guys please

Help ‼️ I’m getting same code p0024 & p0014 after an oil change on local fast oil change service . Oil level is perfect. Changed already camshaft sensors but still same code popping up .
