Understanding the differences between UV and glow finishes is key to knowing which one to fish. Glow emits light after being charged with an external light source, while UV treatments reflect existing ultraviolet light from the sun.

I made good living in my early years working with uv dyes. Glow is a medium that charges and then changes the light spectrum and then emits, uv does not reflect it actually absorbs like glow and changes the light spectrum it just has a much shorter half life for emitting the stored energy and it only reacts to a uv spectrum. Glow mediums OFTEN have a wider charging spectrum so it they charge with normal light where as UV only will charge for a much shorter time often only with UV spectrum

Would it work 'under' candy paint or acrylics? Apologies if this is a stupid question I'm just trying to get into painting lures and would like something unusual!
