When you guys evaluate a car as a commuter, think like a commuter who has a regular family. I have been in a 340i few times in Bangalore. On these roads it starts feeling jarring even on the front seat after 10kms. That’s for me even though I am an enthusiast. My wife and family will curse me if I take them around in a 340i. Please keep it more aligned to the target audience. It will help in the right purchase

It's a really good car that ticks all the boxes except for its stiff ride.Should have come with adaptive suspension like my g30 530d.

Any review has to show both pros and cons in an unbiased manner. As much as I love my M340i LCI, it isn’t with cons.

Pros:
1. Explosive performance. Words cannot do justice to this.
2. The confidence and sense of invincibility it gives you.
3. Decently loaded with tech and features.
4. Incredible exhaust note in Sports Plus.

Cons
1. The 19” RFTs are just not made for India. Tyres get damaged like crazy.
2. Suspension is super stiff and the ride isn’t the best, especially on uneven surfaces. Is much more useable in say a Bangalore compared to a Mumbai.
3. The M in M340i doesn’t stand for mileage but since you covered it in the video, in city traffic, you hardly get 4-5kmpl. Highways you get up to 13-14. If driven the way it’s to be driven, 5-6kmpl is all you’ll get on highways too.
4. GC is not sufficient. It does scrape on Mumbai roads. A lot of times!

But all said and done, would I buy this car again if I went back in time - ABSOLUTELY! Is it a daily car? You can use it daily, but you definitely need another one for the bad roads, monsoon season and waterlogged ways etc.

M340i as family car is not suitable it's suspension is very stiff and jerky on Indian roads 😢

Wait, Does India not get adaptive suspension? also changing the run flats have massive impact on ride quality

You can’t daily this I’m sorry:
1. Too stiff
2. No fuel efficiency
3. The transmission starts to complain after 30 min of stop go traffic
4. It’s a pain to use in traffic, permanent fear of getting scraped by some moped. This WILL happen if you daily it. Fixing the ding ain’t cheap
5. Ground clearance is not great, you can take speed bumps diagonally and it clears most but you can’t do that in traffic.
6. Why would you take a performance car in traffic anyway? That’s like taking a husky out in the sun cos you think they look cool!

P.S that ain’t traffic my guy that’s very pleasant driving conditions on a Sunday in most tier one cities.

I would like to know if the ground clearance is adequate for city driving and occasionally big speed bumps. I plan on buying this car so its 130mm ride height worries me.
