I prefer this sound over the usual "fuzz" tones, which are often to "spitty" and "broken". This is much more like an overdriven amplifier, tighter, and cleaner. It does have a little of that "spitty" quality, but in a good way, without sounding too "farty".

I just seen Big Business open for Sleep in Madison, WI and Matt Pike of Sleep was rocking a wall of Orange heads and cabs, couldn't tell if the heads were OR120's though. Al Cisneros was playing through 4 ampeg heads and 4 8x10 cabs, plus one Orange head/cab unit. It was loud!

Sounds heavy as hell. I have to say, your videos always make me happy. Your calm demeanor is very soothing. Then you bust out the HEAVY. First time I heard an OR 120 was when we opened for Battilus. Their tune Gravelchime....amazing. This was in Brooklyn, I believe...it’s been a while and let’s say I was WAY up there.
If possible, could you do a video about soldering? I watched your pickup change video and really want to swap pickups between my two main guitars, but I’m death to electronics. If you could go over what’s a decent iron, temperature to use, how to solder correctly...man, I’d sure appreciate it.

1) I'm from Chile. 2) Many, but specially the Les Paul, that sound, that color, is just perfect. 3) Actually the last show I went to here in Santiago were The Hellacopters, I'm almost sure they use those OR's.

Los Angeles. Saw The Mars Volta on numerous occasions through 2007-2008. Omar Rodriguez-Lopez was using OR120's during that time. Think he switched to Rockerverbs at some point though.

My band recently played a show with Shakhtyor in Freiburg, Germany (from where Im writing this now)
and the guitarist used a vintage OR120 without the master Volume.

I'm in California. I went to see Neurosis (one of my all time favs) play at the Casbah in San Diego in 1994. Sleep was the opening act. At that point i hadn't heard of them. Been a huge Sleep/Matt Pike fan since. I do remember seeing Orange and Green amps in their set. Not sure what models. Might have been an OR120 up there haha.

I think omar rodriguez was running an or120 when I saw The Mars Volta at Roseland Ballroom in nyc 05/05/05. It was either that or an AD140. Also the bassist from Summoner runs an OR120 regularly, saw them in Boston .
