Lol, as soon as i saw you, i thought, "she's decluttered her HAIR!" I would love to have fussfree hair that didn't need to be faffed with, but short hair doesn't look good on everyone, lucky you!

We're avid cooks and bakers, but even so we managed to recently declutter over 100 items from our kitchen. Next up? Organizing our enormous supply of spices. Since we cook so many cuisines, we have a ton. I've been looking at Vertical Spice to be able to organize everything but they're $$

I have a storage bin we use for party supplies. It has been great and really comes in handy having things in one area We do tend to keep our birthday candles in it different location though but they do have a home. I keep extra gift bags from birthdays in the bin also We don't have like a large gift area I keep the Christmas stuff with the Christmas things and then any other gift bags I happen to have worth saving I toss in there typically they kind of naturally declutter themselves out. It definitely has been nice having a location for party items I feel like in the past I never did.

Grew up in Birmingham, UK. We called them bobbles, as they tended to have a metal circular bit (the bobble) on them and you wrapped them around the ponytail, hooking one end over that metallic bit to keep it in place. Rather than putting your hair through them as seems more common now.

I call them elastics or hair ties. I have done a ton of decluttering this summer. Now I am on to the next step, not shopping! I do not want to refill the spaces I have cleaned out! Nice to see you looking so well Laura, I love the super short aka decluttered hair!

Great advice here! I have a hard to access corner press for pots and pans. Downsizing the contents has made that corner press easier to manage.
I call them bobbins but I don't think the younger generation do🤣

Thanks so much for your decluttering tips, especially tips aimed at those of us who become discouraged during the process or for tips that help prevent us from quickly remaking the mess again. For example, a donation box on each floor, a system for getting donations or dry cleaning into the car, etc. … or even a “I just brought it in” box helps enormously. My sincere thanks.

Ah Laura, you are back! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼Lovely to see you again and I hope you're okay. I've just started a bedroom declutter to quickly get myself out of a slump and wish I hadn't. Because I didn't think it through methodically, I've stuff all over the bed, the room itself and the living room. 😩😩😩However, it already looks better in some ways, so I can see the potential and am going to try and be positive!
