After my cover of the magnificent David Gilmour's second guitar solo in Comfortably Numb (Venice 1989 version) posted several years ago on my channel, here's my cover of the Pulse version.

I've spent countless hours ( maybe days ) listening to that version of the solo in the last 12 years! No version has come remotely close to this. This might as well be the best thing to happen to the solo since 1994!

Coming from a Gilmour enthusiast i must say this is spot on. The technique, The Bends, The right note at the right time and the guitar movement are also spot on. The sound was spectacular. Very, very well done my friend.

You have duplicated every part of this solo perfectly, The timing, every bit of vibrato, every bend, every pinched harmonic ! The sound is also identical and your stance and the way you hold the guitar and move with it to get the sound is flawless. I’ve seen many great guitarists and musician friends of mine do a very very good cover of this but I would have to say that your version is on a different level 👍 magnificent!!

This is an absolutely amazing cover of this masterpiece - the fidelity of your performance, everything from the sound to the way you hold the guitar is staggeringly Gilmourish! Most of all though you captured Gilmour's 'taking a Sunday drive' way of playing this despite it being one of the greatest solos all time. Well done sir, great tip of the cap to one of the best! 👏🏼
