Politicians spreading lies about rescue and recovery work are cruel and despicable. People who actually believed those lies are plain stupid.

I’m at a loss for where to even start. The hurricane destroyed almost everything I had. My house is barely holding up, and I’m not sure if my insurance will cover the damage. Thankfully, my family and I are safe, but I’m just not sure how to begin rebuilding after something like this.

We don’t know if the threats reports are credible but we are still gonna report on it

Please stop referring to "misinformation". Call it what it is: LIES!

And people claim they still don't see the effects of the lies and misinformation that's being purposefully stated and spread🙄

I don't think people realize how catastrophic Helene was in WNC. In Buncombe county one man lost 11 members of his family to debris flows, and a fire fighter and his nephew died trying to get to them. That's 13 people dead on one street.

When are we going to hold these liers accountable!?!?! They are completely abusing freedom of speech! Their needs to be a law against blatant harassment!

I live in Pinellas County just a couple miles north of St Petersburg, and I have definitely seen and have been impacted by long lines at gas stations. Having to wait 30 to 45 minutes just to get to a pump, and that's assuming you could find a station that even had both gas and power. Saturday, we spent a two and half-hour long search for gas, to no avail.
But things are looking up. Debris has been cleared out of the roadways, and power has now just been restored to my area yesterday, which is a huge morale boost.
One thing that I'm happiest to see is people helping other people, whether they know them or not. I've helped out my neighbors in my neighborhood and overall community, and they've been helping me out as well.

If you don't think these clowns are fascists then you need to wake up.

Misinformation is mistaken ideas. Disinformation is deliberate lies. Stop saying misinformation when this is deliberate. As journalists, you must know the difference and report it correctly

Some politicians have succeeded in grooming irresponsible citizens.

Incredible… I’m in a hurricane affected area and all these agencies and civilians are helping each other move on from this. Please stop adding the to issue. Leave us alone. Let us rebuild our lives and get the aid we all need.

These people who spread lies should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

This is crazy that so many people believe rumors & lies. Our society has lost its morals & integrity for truth & facts

If these militias are threatening federal officials in the course of their duties, I believe that’s a federal offense, just like threatening postal workers. Why haven’t they been arrested?

If Cnn doesnt know if the threat is credible..then why not wait to speak ?

How about telling them they are going to jail for a long time, if they caught pulling guns or treats against any fema workers.
