This is great, but what if I want to select a patch from a bank of preset patches of the hardware synth I connect. Some recent synths include a VST that can control the sound and even select patches. I know FL Control Surface is there to create such an interface but there is very little information on this option.

I’m connecting my system with a usb midi and using a uad arrow interface . Is it possible to make it work or do I need a interface with midi inputs? I can’t audio whenever I have my usb plugged in and interface at the same time . When I select a channel it only shows me the interface inputs but the synth is connected via usb 🙃I’m confused

Someone please help, I can’t even get my Synth audio to go through FL. I have a microbrute, which has a TRS cable from its output going into a focusrite, which is then going into my computer. Still when I select inputs 1 and 2 no sound goes into the mixer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In my inputs, I only have options for my laptop microphone. How do I get all those extra inputs? I have connected an M-Audio interface with the 1/4in cables from my Synth to my Interface, yet it only detects my Mic inputs. I'm confused as to how to resolve this.

Awesome video, great content. i just bought a jx-08 and tried to hook it up to my computer to use in FL 20 via USB-C. When i follow this procedure you showed, all that happens is the synth ends up controlling sounds within the DAW, but no sounds from the actual synth can be heard from the DAW. Makes no sense to me. Can anyone help please?

I HAVE DONE THIS WITH MY ROLAND JV1080 I AM PLAYING MIDI THROUGH MY KEYBOARD AND PLAYING MIDI INTO THE PIANO ROLL PERFECTLY BUT WHEN I EXPORT THERES NO SOUND AND WHEN I CONSOLIDATE IT THERES NO SOUND IT ALSO JUST PLAYS EVEN IF IM IN SONG MODE WITH IT MUTED ON THE TRACK IN SONG MODE WEIRD CAN YOU HELP WITH THIS I THOUGHT IF I CONSOLIDATE IT I CAN MUTE THE MIDI AND CONTINUE SEQUCING IT AS AUDIO.. BUT I CANT GET A WAV OF THE MIDI ????

Any advice on midi play back jitter..for some reason FL plays back midi sloppy whether synths are connected thru midi or over usb..the timing is late and jumpy..any ideas?

Can you detail what other cables you need please? I assume I have to also have my synth connected to my PC for this to happen too via a USB/printer cable?

Hello, I have been searching forever trying to isolate my synthesizer sounds because my synthesizer is controlling FL studio's buttons as well. So when I play a song, random buttons are being pressed inside FL studio when I just want sounds to play, not my keys controlling random buttons at the same time.

Just got an Arturia Microfreak and I've followed the steps I found in your tutorial and elsewhere but I'm not getting any audio. The little orange knob in the upper-right lights up when I hit notes, but no audio. I'm not finding anything to clarify what I'm doing wrong. Every time I get new gear there's ALWAYS some sort of initial hiccup. HELP!!! Thx
