The Lewis Male's didn't die off, we had to flee to Belfast because we started the bloodiest Clan Wars ever. We helped Donald Dubh MacDonald try to retake the Isle of Lewis, lost and were all condemned to Death...for going against the King of Scotland. I am a direct descendant of Olaf, and his Son Torquil that started the Clan in 1340. My second Great Uncle Re-built the Hospital in Liverpool, and it opened as the David Lewis Northern Hospital in 1902, Closed in 1978.

What’s crazy is that my 4th great grandmother who carried the last name McLeod, married into the Lewis family of Georgia, who descend from the Lewis family of wales. I find it cool that there’s a branch of the McLeod family that lives in Lewis and my 4th great grandmother married into the Lewis family
