One of my minor grips about TFP Breakdown was how he lacked his G1 self's paranoia. I know, different incarnation. But I can't help but compare the two since they gave him G1 Breakdown's paint job, right down to the cherry colored mug. Would've been so easy to at least slip in some dialogue about how Knock Out helped him conquer his paranoia & that's why they were so close. Simple.
