I’m a young 59 year old mom and love music of all types. That said, I left behind the 70’s & 80’s rock and roll. I stumbled on Disturbed while listening to random music videos & live concerts on YouTube. First video was Sound of Silence which blew me away. Listened to more of their songs & I’m hooked. My daughter who loves all sorts of music & has leaned towards up and coming non-mainstream bands was a little surprised as were friends my age. I’ve since convinced them that great bands come in all different sounds, styles & looks. Listen to the words & the message. Best wishes to all.

I remember listening them repeatedly back in 2001 when I was 13 and my parent was worried sick. They thought something is wrong with me lol. I'm 35 now and their face still stuck in my head 🤣. They don't realize korn, linkin park, deftones, papa roach, staind and limp bizkit actually helped me in rough time at my teenager. Thanks to those bands

I am 60 years old. I was upset that my grandson was listening to "Disturbed", until I heard "Sounds of Silence", which caught my attention. I started researching and reading about David Drainman and maybe I was wrong! I read and listened to some of his songs. I grew up with 1970's Rock and the sound of "Disturbed" was, well, disturbing. But basically it is ok. I was shocked that "Prayer" was based on the plights of Job... Very Interesting...David Drainman, grandma says your ok to listen to.
