just from a consumer perspective, not sure what this means besides hardware and software teams trying to understand what functions they can handle locally on-device without sending it to the cloud. so they would be on the same page as Apple, but also having this flashy headline. doesn't sound like large-context LLM requests or diffusion are viable to be ran on a smartphone processor...

Pixel devices are great, gets better the longer and more you use it - brilliant point and shoot camera, useful and helpful features. However, all the AI talk trom Google and everyone else, is pure nonsense.
