Great weight shift and sequencing is crucial as you said. I gained 50 yards off the tee when I finally got this timing down.

Is it possible that the simple task of taking the club back puts weight on that right foot as the weight of the arms, hips and club are on that side, and the the downswing naturally puts it on the left side without artificial application?

This is why Ben Hogan in Five Lessons suggested a slightly knock-kneed sitting down posture at address. If wearing conventional hard soled, purpose built golf shoes it allows the feet and body mass to rock laterally parallel to the target line, which is a critical part of changing the force vector if the swinging club head from tangential to the circular path to straight towards the target.

Most recreational golfers today do not understand how to move body mass laterally because they wear soft soled sports shoes which don’t make it easy to keep weight on the insteps and have been taught not to sway or hip in the takeaway but instead to swing club with shoulders around stationary hip, how Tiger did it before wrecking his back swinging that way.

use an old skateboard deck for the plank. grip tape also works well. just put a 1x2 on the bottom for the fulcrum

The ‘rock and go’ is the movement Rory has mastered helping him create force + leverage. Been working on the same move over the past few years…. An object in motion, stays in motion. Great tip. 👍🔥💪✊

Great video. How do you avoid swaying on the backswing?

At 5:26. Is that a grip strength that you would recommend, or does it just "work for you"? Thanks, M

So start with more pressure on front leg go back but my thing I have trouble with is what part of body or how do I get back pressure to front foot? How do I do that. And I pushing off back foot am I bumping hips. I have so much weight on back swing I can’t figure out what is getting me to the front side before back swing ends. It feels strange.

and does this principal work the same for the driver swing?

I don't make a habit of disagreeing with teachers but in this case, I must. An effortless swing results from proper grip pressure.

Great swing advice and aid. The use of the term "pressure" is confusing. Pressure is Force/Area. A better term to use "Force" or "Weight".
