“Powerful & Precious” - Mark 1:16-20

This morning we said that in this calling of the first four disciples we see the majesty, the authority, and therefore the beauty of Jesus.
This morning we focused on:

II. THE SUFFICIENCY OF JESUS IS ON DISPLAY IN THIS CALLING
A. GOD RESISTS THE PROUD BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE
B. THE SUFFICIENCY FOR MINISTRY IS NOT EXPLAINED BY MEN BUT BY GOD
C. THE WORLD’S CONCEPTS OF WEAKNESS AND STRENGTH HAVE BEEN
PERVERTED BY PRIDE
D. GOD DELIGHTS TO WORK IN WAYS THAT MAKE PLAIN THAT THE WORK IS HIS
So, the sovereignty of Christ is on display here, and the sufficiency of Christ is on display here.
