The Continental GT Speed and GTC Speed are powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain shared with the Porsche Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid. The twin-turbo V-8 engine and electric motor combine for 771 horsepower, making it the most powerful road-going Continental GT to date. This powertrain replaces Bentley's 6.0-liter W-12 engine, which had 650 horsepower. A prototype of the Speed model on a racetrack was found to be athletic and had a nice sound.
