Welcome back to RBR and to the new face of #Bentley: the 4th Gen #ContinentalGT in Speed form! It’s the first Bentley GT Hybrid ever, and the first car since the 1950s to feature singular round lights. And thanks to the #hybrid, it’s also the most powerful Bentley ever, boasting 782PS!

Today, I’ll show you all the details around this new Speed, focusing on the GTC, but we'll touch on the coupe as well! And then, we’ll dive into the big changes under the skin with a Raz Super VFX segment!

Starting with design, Bentley made the first 2-door cars in the 1950s at Crewe, where the factory is still located today. Back then, they were the most expensive production cars in the world, capable of reaching 120 mph, hence the name 'Continental GT'. Now, this new GT is the first Bentley with single lights since the 1950s! Compared to the previous Speed, it has a design more like the Bacalar than the Batur.

Will it move to be the most sold Bentley, surpassing the Bentayga? Probably, I reckon. Now, let’s talk about the power! The new Continental GT Speed is powered by a V8 engine with 600 PS from single-scroll turbos, combined with an electric motor producing 190PS and 450NM. It has a 25.9 kW battery located behind the rear axle, delivering a total output of 782PS and 1000NM, achieving 0-60 in 3.1 seconds, an 80km electric range, and a top speed of 208 mph.

Comparing to the W12 Speed, which has 659HP, 900NM, and a 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds, this new hybrid model offers a significant improvement. Even the W12 of the Batur pales with just 740PS!

It features an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, an electronic differential, and all-wheel drive. There are four driving modes: EV, E Boost, Regen Braking, and Charge. W.O. Bentley himself prided on a near-silent 100MPH car, and this model continues that legacy thanks to the EV mode.

We have a performance active chassis, including AWD, eLSD, RWS, dynamic ride active anti-roll, new dual-valve dampers, and dual air chamber springs. All of this should help off set some of the weight: I have no figures yet, but the weight is likely around 2700 kg, but first drives suggest it’s a very good car.

Up next on RBR is the the New RS4 25 Edition drive review, and a Surprise Video!! Subscribe be to support us and see them first. :)

Why would they scrap the chandelier headlights? It was the best thing about the design smh

What the hack of the position of ACC sensor?

I would never buy a plug in hybrid. Makes no sense in a high performance car. They should have made it a mild hybrid.

That camera stuck on the left hand side of the front grille looks super ugly! The Bentley grille is Iconic. I can't believe that they are actually going to just plonk that camera on the front grille like that! 🙈 Also I think the crystal headlights look much better on the previous model. Other than that, the car looks great.

Designers should lose their job over the placement of the radar sensor in the grill. Could have placed it in the middle towards the bottom or on either side like previous generation!

You'd be mad to get this over the previous version

They literally ruined the beautiful crystal chandelier headlights. Classic example of over tinkering.

Let’s be very honest here, put the 3rd & 4th Generation cars side by side and what do we see within a minute: new design lights…wow really 😮. The designers could have done much more!

This will fail. All hybrid cars will fail and be forgotten.

Either go full electric or full gas. Hybrid creates more complexity due to 2 different power generation systems and thus will have higher repair costs and breakdowns over time.

I wonder how come they never put speakers in the rear seat side panels. The Bmw M8 and Mercedes Benz cabriolet has rear speakers. But I would still purchase this lovely vehicle nonetheless.👍

wtf is the placement of the radar, they cant be serious?

That radar sensor placement is idiotic. Total deal breaker. They should immediately fire both the designer and the exec who approved it.

I'd purchase a used traditional 12 (over this) also I prefer the 4 headlight design.

No offense but the headlights, they look unnatural, if they were going for a wow factor, this aint it. Sorry

great design but doesnt it bother anyone else that the gas cap and ev plug cap are different shapes and not symmetrical

I very much dislike the new display they replaced the speedometer with. They should give customers the option between the two considering the price of this car.

Eh 2 and half hours to charge the battery?

Exactly (I thought I was the only one) Not really liking the current (They should have stayed with the Chandelier headlights).

I’ve never been a fan of Bentley until this car released. I know people are mad that the traditional four headlights are gone but I like the modern look. Only thing I don’t like about this car is the placement of the sensor in the front grille.
