"Stark, if I find out you had anything to do with Captain America's death....I'll kill you" - Wolverine

Show us the comic where Wolverine investigates the death of Roger’s because he genuinely doesn’t believe it and that something’s fishy behind the scenes. Breaks into the helicarrier to see if Roger’s rlly is dead just to be confronted by Tony and giant man. That issue was fucking amazing, shows the immense respect and love Logan has for cap and how he literally tells Tony if he finds out that Tony was involved in any way, he’ll kill him.

These are some of my favorite iron man moments. Tony saying “it wasn’t worth it.” Hits me every time. Now if only had shown a little more remorse to others after the events of civil war.

I love that they made The Confession.

According to most art and story, Tony was the hero. THIS is why the firefighter, paramedic, and cop tackle CAPTAIN AMERICA, because the story wants us to see him as the villain.

But the decisions made by Tony ARE NOT THOSE OF THE HERO.

The characterization they give Tony was so out of character that the readers thought Tony being revealed as a Skrull was the only thing that would make sense.

In a way, they were both right. Superheroes needed to be held accountable, but not using the methods Iron Man believed in.

“The Confession” is one of my all time favorite issues. You left out the best part. This was the first half of the issue. The second part is a flashback to Captain America being taken to The Raft and talking to Iron Man in his cell. Here’s what Cap said:

Do you actually think the fact that you know how to program a computer makes you more of a human being than me? That I’m out of touch because I don’t know what you know? I know what freedom is. I know what it feels like to fight for it and I know what it costs to have it. You know compromise.

“Man is the only animal that deals in the atrocity of atrocities, war. He is the only one that gathers his brethren about him and goes forth in cold blood and calm pulse to exterminate his kind. He is the only animal that for sordid wages will march out and help to slaughter strangers of his own species who have done him no harm and with whom he has no quarrel. And in the intervals between campaigns he washes the blood of his hands and works for the ‘Universal Brotherhood of Man’… with his mouth.”

Do you know who said that? Go find out. Because he was talking about you! YOU made this war! YOU birthed it into existence by sheer force of will. And now look at you — king of the world! I WANT TO KNOW! I want to know what the hell made you think this was your job to do? Who made you the moral compass of us? How could you lay down with the people you’ve laid down with? Tell me, “Director Stark, ” tell me, was it worth it? WAS IT WORTH IT?! TELL ME!

The panels show Steve’s face reflected in Tony’s helmet. Tony brushes him off and calls him a sore loser. And of course, by the time Tony is able to give him his answer, it’s too late.

This is hard material. We need more of that on the big screen.

One of my favorite quotes comes from Nier's creator, Yoko Taro: "You don't have to be insane to kill someone, you just have to believe that you're right." Rather applicable to Tony's mentality in Civil War and his self inflicted blindness to the wrong he was doing.

Once had a heated argument with my sister over something stupid. We both worked at night at the time, about a 30min walk from each other. I got a text she had been held up at gun point. (She wasn't physically harmed but took time to mentally recover from that)

Not trying to say "don't have conflicts" because there will always be conflict; just make sure things are right between yourself & whomever, or you very well could end up like Tony here.

I actually like the civil war movie because it unknowingly shows that the many parts of the government don’t truly care about safety and care about control hence why Natasha sided with tony

Anger has this way of making you feel justified and it's only when the dust settles where you can even realize how unjustified your wrath was.

"Civil War was not worth it"
No one told Marvel execs that, they did it again like 2 years later, just without the depth or emotional impact.

Uatu the Watcher revealed that, if Iron Man actually surrendered during the Final Battle, all the heroes would rally under Captain America because they trusted him with their secret identity. He would then fight Congress and the Senate to change the Superhuman Registry Act to make secret identities only be known to Cap and SHIELD and to imprison all the villains that were deputized by Iron Man.

Both sides were arrogant in their own way. Steve realize that that's why he gave up, Tony realized it after Steve was dead. The civil war comics were absolutely perfect.

Then I love how later on tie-in comics has Thor asking Captain America did he want revenge for his death. Then beautifully given this man a worldwide moment of silence.

And it’s even worse because after civil war Tony’s reputation and bonds with the other superheroes was ruined and even to do this day they still haven’t forgiven him

I have had a similar experience, except i had people talk to me, people who want the best for me, and when i saw it through their eyes, using empathy, i saw that i was the villain in the situation. If your actually reading this, please use empathy, it maybe hard to do so, but please try.
