Does T-Mobile Internet still offer unlimited data? About a week after publishing my updated service review, T-Mobile added fine print to its website -- and it's left some people confused. In today's video, I explain the changes to T-Mobile Home Internet's data policy and how they will affect new customers.

This video took less than two minutes to upload to YouTube using T-Mobile Home Internet. Although this video isn't very long at 2:54, this is faster than normal from my experience. I uploaded the video in the morning when there is less likely to be network congestion where I live. Maybe I should try uploading at night next time?

We have been using T-Mobile for just over a year. We never got our $200 even though we were told we would, so don't hold your breath for that.

We used to have it but we switch to Verizon because where we live Was a dead spot between 2 of their towers because each tower was too far away that is also something people should look into before getting it

Would be nice to know how slow things get after 1.2T of usage. For data hoarders and people working with large language models, it’s quite possible to push through that limit.

I'll just stick with my local power company's fibre optic. Cost a little more at $70 but performance is great and no throttling of speeds down whenever they like.

I have Verizon 5G home internet and my speeds are consistent around 300/30 Mbps when I had T-Mobile my speeds would drop as low as 1 Mbps during congestion.

At the $30 price with magenta max, this is a great deal for me. Had a period when it would go down, but that hasnt happened lately. I work from home, so I have been close to the limit but haven't passed it yet 🤞

T-Mobile can be fantastic if you are in the right spot. I put a big 5G antenna in my attic, I get 4 out of 5 bars, maybe an upgrade will come I use this as a back up, my main provider is ATT Fiber. My fiber cables are always being cut by people planting flowers and shrubs, ATT does a horrible joib of burying cables. My cable in 2" under ground, this is very bad and unreliable.

I think the real test would be to upload your videos during a peak time, to see how long it would take to get it done. Then you can compare any difference between the two, to see how well the service performs during the busiest times as opposed to the least busiest times. This is literally where the rubber meets the road!!!

As far as I know. They are putting people into a new QCI (whatever that is or means) and once they are over the 1.2 terabytes they go back to the old QCI which doesn't sound too bad and is only for new customers right now. Guess the old customers before the change are in the new QCI without any worries already?

Customers that signed up before January 18th still have truly Unlimited Data. We've had T-Mobile 5G Home Internet for about two Years and if I go into my Account it says under Manage Plans that I have No Data Caps and it says on the other side switch to the New Plan and under No Data Caps it says Not Available so obviously I'm not gonna switch to the New Plan because that one has the Data slowdowns and it's $60.00 instead of $50.00.

Sad T-Mobile and Verizon can dominate the Internet landscape but the only eye catching thing they offer is a cheaper price point. service and liability isn't the best

Would not work out for us as we switched to streaming only use anywhere from 1tb to almost 2tb of data a month

Tried it and it was slow as hell after the first week. Had to switch back to Cox.

My T-Mobile Home internet slowed downed at the same time of each day, I called customer support, and they said, areas have different congestion levels 1 to 5, 1 being the worst. They told me my area was a level 1. They also said, getting their newest router won't help, and they suggested I find a better place to put my router, it might point to a different tower which is less congested. I did as they suggested, and it's much better now, at least for now.

T-Mobile home internet can suck big time during the summer so I got rid of it and switched to Ziply Fiber. Ziply Fiber is going from gigabit fiber to gigabit DSL in the condo building I live in and I'm getting the full gigabit DSL speed from the phone jack. All the condo units phone lines meet up with the fiber in the condo's utility room. Then I re-download all my Steam games on to my new computer I bought which took 20 terabytes of HDD storage to download them all.

I tried it when it first came out. No IPv6 support. No way to get a non-NATted IPv4 address.

As I've said before, 5G or satellite are choices of last resort and should only be considered if there's not a better wired / fiber option. I remember when people said 5G was going to be the savior for the internet and here we are a few years later and still nope. Even in my area there are countless 5G towers, the short stubby kind (30'), that aren't even activated.
